About Amy
This isn't justmy work.It's personal.
I started Memory Care Connections after walking this journey with my own mother. I'm here to help you walk yours.
My Journey
I didn't set out to become a senior care advisor. Like many families, I arrived here out of love, fear, and urgency.
My journey started when I noticed something wasn't right with my mom. This wasn't just typical forgetfulness. She was struggling to collect her thoughts and unable to do simple tasks like think through the steps to make a meal. When she got lost on a walk through the neighborhood, I finally realized she wasn't safe on her own anymore.
We tried in-home care, but it wasn't the right fit. It was expensive, inconsistent, and even with help, I was constantly worried. I had three kids at home, all in school in East Cobb when the pandemic hit — so most days I was shuffling up and down Johnson Ferry Road, dropping off and checking in, mom and daughter in the same breath. I couldn't be there to care for her every day. I found myself torn between caring for my mom and caring for my kids — both impossible to do fully.
I started looking into memory care communities, but nothing felt clear. I didn't know what level of care she needed, and everything felt like it came with a big price tag.
Eventually, with guidance from someone who knew the system, I found the right place. A place that fit not just her medical needs, but her personality and dignity too.
That's why I started Memory Care Connections — so you don't have to feel lost, alone, or out of options.
After walking that road with my own mom, I felt called to help other families walk it too. I'll help you find the right next step — just like someone once helped me.
Where I Work
North Metro Atlanta — and every community I recommend, I've walked through myself.
I live here. My kids go to school here. I do the same school pickup line you do, the same Chick-fil-A run, the same Saturday shuffle between the activities. When I tell you a community is the right fit, it's because I know your neighborhood, not because I pulled it off a list.
I work with families across North Metro Atlanta. The communities I tour and recommend cover an even wider area, because the right fit for your family sometimes lives a little farther than expected.
What I won't do is recommend a community I haven't visited in person. Every recommendation comes from a place I have walked through, asked questions in, and seen with my own eyes.
Let's talk about your family.
